This site is eventually going to feature many instructional projects. During the summer of 2016, I intend to feature all of my instructional materials for clear use and access to my students taking my courses. I will update this website frequently with modifications and changes. As indicated in the first “blog” entry, extensive use of the $\LaTeX$ typesetting language will be used to demonstrate and discuss important mathematical ideas. As a first demonstration, consider the wonderful and important relation
$$e^{\pi i} = -1.$$
This simple, but profound equation connects four of the most amazing numbers! The base of the natural logarithm $e,$ the universal ratio of a circle to its diameter $\pi,$ the square root of $-1$ called $i$ and the additive inverse of $1$. We will have much to say about these ideas in the course of the mathematics we intend to develop here.
